At the beginning of 2014, FRESH EYE has announced an academic call for papers for students of Czech universities. With the slogan “One Look Is Not Enough”, it has asked students to submit their seminar, bachelor’s, master’s and dissertation theses dealing with visual studies and contemporary visual (popular) culture. The submission deadline was on May 31, 2014. New and interesting works in the field of visual studies have been posted in the text archive on our website since mid-June. Authors of selected submissions were invited to give a live presentation at the June Fresh Eye program. Who are they and what themes do they deal with?
